H&M is receiving heat for not styling the hair of a black child model before taking photos of her modelling their outfit.
The multinational clothing-retail company recently released its new line of fall sweaters and sweatshirts, featuring a diverse lineup of models. One of their models was a black girl but unlike the other models, her hair was not styled.
This angered black people as they felt it was intentional and was aimed at the natural hair community. But some blamed the child’s parents for not styling their daughter’s hair or insisting the company styles her hair properly before the shoot.
